Anneliese “Anna” Meyer, 87, of Cameron, WV, died Sunday.

Visitation Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, Moundsville with funeral services Thursday at 11 a.m.


Anneliese “Anna” Meyer, age 87 of Cameron, W.Va., died Sunday, June 29, 2014 at Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, W.Va.

She was born November 20, 1926 in Gross-Umstadt, Germany.

Anna was retired from Coronet Foods; was a member of Nauvoo Ridge RLDS; an avid WVU Football Fan; a former 4-H Leader; member of Cameron Boosters; and a former cook at Adeline School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles R. Meyer; a son, Paul Meyer; two sons-in-law, Ray Tabeling, and Jim Piatt; two sisters; and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, Darryl (Ellie Beyser) Meyer of Moundsville, and Chuck Meyer of Cameron; two daughters, Faith Tabeling of Glen Easton, W.Va., and Diana Piatt of Cameron; 14 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with Foster Noble and Beryl Chambers officiating.
