There will be no visitation.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 5 p.m. on Thursday, at the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church, Wheeling, WV.

Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family.

ELLA LOGES

Ella Gertrude Millard Loges, 95, of Mt. Olivet, Wheeling, WV, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at Peterson Rehabilitation Hospital and Geriatric Center.

She was born in Wheeling, WV, on October 27, 1918, to the late Walter and Myrtle Haynes Millard.

Ella was a 1935 graduate of the former Wheeling High School. She retired in 1985 after 10 years of employment with Bachmann’s Food Service. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church since 1947, where she was a member of the Miriam Philathea Group and a former choir member. She was also a member of the Mt. Olivet Homemakers Club and a friend of the 4-H.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Chester C. Loges in 1970; and her brother, James H. Millard in 1978.

She is survived by three daughters, Frances (Kenneth) Eastwood of Hurst, TX, Lois Jean (Fred) Dougherty, and Donna (David) Ransom of Wheeling, WV; two grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Ingram and Michael Dougherty of Wheeling, WV; three step- grandchildren, David (Dawn) Ransom, Jr. of Martinsburg, WV, Mindy (Leroy) McCombs of Wintersville, OH and Charles (Chrystal) Ransom of Wheeling; four great-grandchildren, Lyndsey, Garrett and Logan Ingram, and Megan Dougherty; step-great-grandson, Andrew McGilton; a special person in her life, Kara Dougherty; two nieces, Karen (Ben) Jenkins of Canon City, Co, and Denna Millard of Snellville, GA; nephew, James Jay Millard of Merritt Island, FL; sister-in-law, Dorothea L. Millard of Atlanta, Ga.; and a special sister-in-law, Betty Loges of Wheeling, WV.

The family wishes to thank Dr. William Mercer for his understanding and care.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
