JOAN SHEARER

Joan Lowella Moore Shearer, 76, of Triadelphia, WV, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, in Wheeling Hospital.

She was born February 4, 1938 in Adena, OH, daughter of the late Raymond and Esther Slyder Moore.

Mrs. Shearer was a homemaker and was a member of the Roneys Point Presbyterian Church.

She enjoyed singing and loved spending time with her family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow up.

Surviving are her loving husband of 54 years, Billy Jackson Shearer; a daughter, Vickie Shearer; three sons, Phillip Shearer and his wife, Cindy, David Shearer, and Paul Shearer and his wife, Jennifer, all of Wheeling, WV; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lois Young and Gail Mason; a brother, Edwin Moore; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2014, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311), where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2014, with the Reverend Darrin Jones officiating. Entombment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Sherrard, WV.
