Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Mt. Olivet.

Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Christian Wake Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Judith Ann Vensel Wallace, 68, of Wheeling passed away on Monday, July 21, 2014, at Liza’s Place.

Friends will be received from noon-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling (304-242-2311), where final arrangements are incomplete.

Judith Ann Vensel Wallace, 68, of Wheeling, passed away at Liza’s Place on Monday, July 21, 2014, after enduring a long battle against cancer with fortitude, grace and courage.

She was born January 8, 1946, in Wheeling, WV, daughter of the late John L. Vensel, Sr. and Katheryn M. O’Malley Vensel.

Mrs. Wallace was a graduate of Wheeling Central High School, Class of 1964, and was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She was retired secretary of Wallace Jeweler’s and worked many years for the March of Dimes.

She was a devoted wife, mother, GaGe, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family always came first with her. She was very resilient, accepting, very compassionate and caring and she never complained.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dog, Katie.

Surviving are her loving husband of 48 years, Charles “Chuck” Wallace; two daughters, Lynn Wallace and Jason Haswell, and Christina W. Ghaphery and her husband, Brian all of Wheeling, WV; a sister, Joan V. Carrigan of Wheeling, WV; a brother, John L. Vensel, Jr. and his wife, Beth of Barboursville, WV; four grandchildren, Eli, Brianna, Mackenzie and Brailyn Ghaphery; a Godson, Geno Catalano; and several nieces and nephews including, Kathleen, Maureen, Eileen, and Colleen; Jonathan, Leslie and Jamie.

Friends will be received from noon to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Elm Grove, Wheeling (304-242-2311). Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 25, 2014, at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Mt. Olivet, with Father Dennis Schuelkens, Jr. as celebrant.

Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.

Christian Wake Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
