Alma F. Fleming, 91, of Wheeling died Saturday, August 2, 2014, at Wheeling Hospital.
She was born January 4, 1923, in Sculton, PA, a daughter of the late James and Anna Pletcher Gary.
Alma was a homemaker, a member of Christian Missionary Alliance, AARP, Elm Grove Women’s Club, and the Salvation Army Home League.
In addition to her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Fleming, in 1998, son-in-law, James Clemens, grandson, James Clemens, and three brothers, Earl, Ray, and Roy Gary.
Surviving are two children, Deborah Clemens and John Fleming, Jr. both of Wheeling, a sister, Grace Ansell, and her husband, Arnold, of Sculton, PA, three grandchildren, Brian (Carol) Clemens, Kevin (Debbie) Fleming, Kelly (Minter) Shrader, seven great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received on Monday, August 4, 2014, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, South Wheeling Chapel, 3828 Jacob St., Wheeling, where services will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2014, at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow in Parkview Memorial Gardens.
