Hattie Mae Ruthers, 92, of Buckhannon, WV, formerly of Moundsville, WV, died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in Holbrook On the Hill, Buckhannon.

She was born January 28, 1922 in Moundsville, the daughter of the late David A. and Emma J. Littleton Woods.

She was a retired employee from Reynolds Memorial Hospital; a former member of Cornerstone Church of God, Moundsville; and attended Faith Tabernacle and Liberty in Christ, both in Buckhannon.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Arlon Holsey; her second husband, Richard Ruthers; three brothers, Sam, Bud, and Charlie Woods; four sisters, Cora Hafer, Nora Norris, Emma Williamson, and Genevieve “Jane” Dobbs; and two grandchildren, Renee Holsey, and John Henry Holsey.

Survivors include two sons, William (Geri) Holsey of Illinois, and Dallas Lee (Donna) Holsey of Buckhannon; a daughter, Sandra “Kay” (Ron) Maidens of New York; 15 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren; two great- great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends on Sunday from noon until time of funeral service at 2 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with Pastor Ron Wilfong officiating.

Interment in Riverview Cemetery, Moundsville.
