LaRue Witt Albaugh, beloved wife of Dr. Edgar William Albaugh, of Anderson, SC, died Monday, September 1, 2014.

Born in Saluda, SC, she was the daughter of the late L.R. and Mary Morris Witt.

In her younger years, LaRue was a talented singer and the youth choir director of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is also a graduate of Anderson College. Following college, LaRue worked as a travel agent for a number of years. LaRue remained an avid Bridge player all through her life. She was a member of the Anderson Country Club and First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include her husband, Ed; son, Mark (Deborah) Albaugh, of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter, Susanna (Albaugh) Brown of Adel, IA; and granddaughter, Emma Brown of Adel, IA. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews all of whom she dearly loved.

LaRue was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Vera Hilton, Sara Rainey, Edna Wells andMyrtle Rainey, and a brother, Willie Witt.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2014, at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, conducted by Rev. Dennis Tedder.
