MARY HOLUB

Mary Holub, 97, of Stewartsville, OH, died Thursday, June 23, 2016, in Belmont Manor Nursing Home, St. Clairsville.

She was born in Stewartsville on January 16, 1919, a daughter of the late Anthony and Theresa Pollock.

Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and quilting, and she was well known for sending cards to family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Holub; five brothers, John “Judge” Pollock, Pete Pollock, Stanley Ofat, Ed Ofat and Ted Ofat.

Surviving are two children, John A. (Lois) Holub of Steubenville and Phyllis (Richard) Van Horn of Columbus; six grandchildren, Rich Van Horn, Kimberly Hodnett, John Van Horn, Kristin Babela, Ryan Nalepa, and Shane Nalepa; 14 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville, where services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Larry Helms officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
