LAURA KYLE

Laura Lee Kyle,  87,  went to be with her family on Friday, July 22, 2016, her father and mother, Clark and Ellen (Wheeler) Knight,  brothers, Harry, Eddie, sister, Helen and great-grandson, Dennis “Bubba” Channel, Jr.

Laura Lee was born in the winter of 1929, February 9. She was a beautiful blonde-haired, blue-eyed child, with an infectious giggle and a beautiful smile. She grew up in Triadelphia, W.Va.

She did all the things wives and mothers do and then some. She was very active in community service, serving as President of the Ohio County Extension Homemakers Club, VP of the Community Education Outreach Service and on the National Educational Committee.

She will be greatly missed by the loved ones she left behind, her four beautiful children, Bill “Dolly” Kyle of Ariz., Jenny Roach of Texas, Laura Marie Mitchell of Ariz., and Sandy(Butch) Channel of Martins Ferry; 14 grandchildren, 26 great- grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Laura Lee loved to write; she could sit down and write a poem or a short story in a minute, because she sure couldn’t cook! She was quick-witted and filled the room with great stories, smiles and laughter wherever she went. Her favorite words were DUCK!!! Bore!!! Just to name a few of her DUCK and BORE phrases, “Who the DUCK are you” “What the DUCK are you doing” “Get the DUCK out of here” “You BORE” “You all look like BORES”

The family wants to thank all of the employees at Park Health in St. Clairsville, Ohio, who took wonderful care of our mother, Laura Lee.

No service will be held.

Condolences may be made to the family by signing the guest book online at www.kellerfuneralhome .com.
