ELEANOR HAHLE

Eleanor I. Hahle, 100, of Bethlehem was reunited with her husband of 60 years on Tuesday, September 27, 2016.

She was born November 18, 1915, in Sherrard, WV, the daughter of the late Oscar and Ollie Myrtle Morgan Talbert.

Eleanor was important to many people. She was a hard-working daughter on her family’s farm, a retired executive secretary for the West Virginia State Road Commission, a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and the Miriam Chapter Order of the Eastern Star.

Eleanor assisted her husband, John, who was a member of the Musical Steelmakers for the nationally broadcast show on WWVA, by transcribing the music he arranged for the group.

She was an avid gardener and always had her home filled with beautiful plants and flowers. She taught ceramics in her Bethlehem home, where she also cared for her grandson, Bobby.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Hahle; four brothers, Charles, Harold, Ralph and Frank Talbert; and two sisters, Virginia Nolte and Ruth Hahle.

She was a loving mother to one daughter, Cheryl “Cheri” (Robert) Guy of Bethlehem; and one son, John “Johnny” (Bonnie) Hahle of AZ; devoted grandmother to four grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” Guy of TX, April (David) Montgomery, Mark (Audra) Hahle and Cari (Aaron) Hooper all of AZ; eight great-grandchildren; and four loving nieces, Ruth Ann Knabe, Eleanor Lou Merinar, Mary Lois Van Dyne and Mary Margaret Sherrard.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Beacon House and Forest Hills staff for their devoted and loving care.

Family will receive friends on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home and Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling with Rev. Homer Harden officiating.

Interment in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard, WV.
