RICHARD HINDSON
Richard Brodie Hindson, 73, of Gardner, KS passed away Sunday, February 19, 2017 in Olathe, KS.
Richard was born January 18, 1944 in Kansas City, MO. He was a retired paint contractor, who enjoyed golfing, wildlife, and even authored several children’s books.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Steven Richard Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary E. Hindson of Gardner, KS and Mary (Peggy) Keys of Wheeling, WV, mother of his children; one brother, Robert (Susan) Hindson of Scottsdale, AZ; three daughters, Mary (Rick) Albanese of Wheeling, WV; Lisa (Mark) Games of Moundsville, WV; and Holly Hindson of St. Clairsville, OH; step-children, John, Jimmy, JoAnna, Jackie and Jenny. He was also survived by two granddaughters, Sara Staley (Adam Eshenour, fiance) of Hilliard, OH; Shelby McDowell of Philadelphia, PA, two grandsons, Caleb and Joshua Games of Moundsville, WV as well as step-grandchildren, Hannah, Austin, Dewy, Gus, and Winston, all of whom he adored.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 1 p.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Wheeling. Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Richard to the American Heart Association, 40 12th Street, Suite 206, Wheeling, WV 26003, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
