Anthony “Tony” J. Yachini Sr., from Follansbee, WV, died peacefully on July 11, 2017.
He was born May 31, 1941 in Follansbee, WV to the late Antonio and Rose (Monford) Iachini.
He graduated from St. Anthony High School, and was a member of the St. Anthony Parish, Follansbee, WV.
He owned several businesses: La Casa Dei Amici Tavern, Freedom Way Auto Sales, Tony Pizza and worked for several auto corporations, published numerous articles in local papers on multiple humanitarian and social issues, and was an Army veteran during peacetime.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his brother, Robert Yachini; four sisters, Marie Quattrocchi, Josephine Santoro, and Yolanda White, Esther Zadzilko.
He is survived by his former spouse Virginia (Lellie) Yachini; son, Anthony Yachini Jr.; three daughters, Corina Emmerth and her husband, Gregory, Prudence Brown and her husband, Gary, and Nikki Fout; three sisters, Antonette Hesseke, Joanne Caproitti, and Jacqueline Rowing; eight grandchildren, Thomas Mack, Kayleigh Hannah, Alex C. Marshall, Samantha Brown, Joshua Weros, Joseph Emmerth, Andrew Brown and Melody Fout; three great-grandchildren, Kaiden Hannah, Sofia Maguire and Navi Brown.
