Paul Raymond Watson, 89 formerly of Valley Grove, WV, died Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Shadyside Care Center in Shadyside, OH.
He was born March 6, 1928 in Wheeling, the son of the late Charles W. and Mary Evans Watson. Paul was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of Triadelphia United Methodist Church, Triadelphia, WV and a retired division manager of PA/WV Supply Valley Camp Coal Co. Triadelphia, WV after 29 years of service.
Paul loved living in the country, raising his garden and Dahlias.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Sarah E. Russell Watson; son, Thomas Watson; two brothers, George Watson and wife Alma, Charles W. Watson and wife Olive; two sisters, Mary Wiley and Ruth Watson. Surviving are daughter, Carol A. Watson of Fairmont, WV; two sons, John R. (Debbie) Watson of Marmet, WV, George R. (Bethany) Watson of Milton, WV; two grandchildren, Allison R. Watson and Andrew T. Watson; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received Tuesday, August 15, 2017 from 1 p.m. until time of service at Kepner Funeral Homes, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304) 242-2311, where services will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at 3 p.m. with Reverend Michael Palmer officiating. Interment in West Alexander Cemetery, West Alexander, PA.
