PAULINE ALLISON

Pauline B. Allison, 96, of Hagerstown, Md., formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her son’s residence in Hagerstown.

She was born October 7, 1920 in Wheeling, W.Va., dear daughter of the late John and Katherine (Michalski) Bulawa.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, Bernard and Richard Bulawa; four sisters, Camile Harris, Elizabeth O’Leary, Regina Valdes and Mary Bulava and nephew, David Harris.

Pauline was a caregiver for three of her sisters and member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She lived in Baltimore, Md. for many years where she spent time working as a cook for an order of nuns in the Baltimore area and was a member of the Baltimore Chapter of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmilites.

She is survived by her beloved son, Mark Allison of Hagerstown, Md.; nephew, Alfredo Valdes of San Diego, Calif.; and niece, Emily Fonda of New Port Beach, Calif.

Friends will be received Thursday, September 14, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. at Altmeyer Funeral Home, Elm Grove Chapel, 154 Kruger St., Wheeling WV.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Wheeling, with Msgr. Jeremiah McSweeney serving as Celebrant.

Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest Mass offerings to be made in Pauline’s name.
