Ralph Edward Gray, of Wheeling, WV, passed away on September 10, 2017, in Wheeling Hospital.

He was born in Akron, OH on April 1, 1930, the second son of Walter and Florence Fulton Gray of Woodsfield, OH.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Louise Barker Gray in 1992, and a brother, Robert.

Surviving are his daughter, Dr. Linda S. Gray (James) Groezinger of Galena, OH, a son, David A. (Anita) Gray of Rayland, OH, and a beloved granddaughter, Nicole Louise Gray of Rayland, OH, along with his companion of many years, Glenna A. Dillon.

Ralph was a graduate of Woodsfield High School 1948, attended Ohio University and graduated in accounting from the Elliott School of Business in Wheeling.

He was employed at Allis-Chalmers in Columbus, OH before returning to Wheeling upon the ill health of his in-laws to operate the Hamburger Inn for ten years. He was later employed in sales by Potter-McCune, Duvall Radio & Television and retired from Super Dollar.

Ralph was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wheeling, the JayCees, past president and treasurer of the Elm Grove Lions Club, Bridge Street and Park View P.T.A.s and A.A.R.P. chapter No. 824. He was a member of the Elm Grove Lions Club, Happy Hilltoppers, and the Do Nothing Club. He enjoyed bowling, golfing and especially traveling.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 14, 2017, from 3 p.m. until time of services at 7 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 900 National Road, Wheeling, WV 26003 with Rev. Bryan D. Carpenter officiating.

Private internment will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
