Thomas Joseph Bruno Biega, 66, of Wheeling, WV passed away at his home surrounded by family on Wednesday, September 13, 2017.
He was born on October 9, 1950 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Joseph K. and Helen (Shalayka) Biega.
Thom was a graduate of West Liberty State College, and a retired coal miner and safety director with Consol Energy. He was Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. He was a member of the PAP Club and an avid sports fan. He enjoyed WVU football and the Pittsburgh Steelers, as well as the Penguins and the Wheeling Nailers.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Tracy Tomlinson Biega; son, Patrick (Molly Metcalf) Biega of Wheeling, WV; sister, Christine (Mark) Kerwood, of Glen Dale, WV; mother- and father-in-law, Ronald and Nancy Tomlinson, of Powhatan, OH; brother- and sister-in-law, James and Judy Tomlinson of Powhatan, OH; nieces and nephews, Mark (Kimmi) Kerwood and daughter Kinsley, Bethany (Brad) Grubb, Andrew Kerwood, Tyler Tomlinson, Delanie Tomlinson, Ciara (Mark) Arman and daughters Addie and Zoe.
Friends will be received on Friday, September 15, 2017 from 2-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger St, Wheeling, WV (phone 304-242-2311).
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 640 Old Fairmont Pike, Wheeling, WV, with Pastor Doug Ondeck as celebrant.
Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, WV.
