WILFORD WALLACE

Wilford “Willie” Wendell Wallace, 66, of Wheeling, WV, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 20, 2017.

He was born on January 18, 1951, in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Wilford and Meryl Barton Wallace.

Mr. Wallace was a retired supervisor for OVMC, a Protestant by faith, and U.S. Army veteran.

After retirement he volunteered his time at OVMC as a hospital receptionist and enjoyed riding his four-wheeler down the lane where was known as the “Mayor.” He loved to play bingo at Wheeling Park with his lady friends.

Willie deeply cared about the four women in his life, wife and soulmate, Barbara, daughter, Rena, granddaughter, Abbey, love of his life, and his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Davis.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William Wallace, sister, Janet Green, and a niece, Kimmy Green.

Willie is also survived by several nieces, nephews, several step-brothers and step-sisters.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 24, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Kepner Funeral Home, 166 Kruger Street, Wheeling, WV (304-242-2311), where services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Lisa Fox officiating.

Interment in Stone Church Cemetery.
