David E. Stine, 71, of St. Joseph Settlement, WV, went to live with Almighty God and the Angels on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at his home surrounded by people who loved him.
He was born April 8, 1946 in New Martinsville, WV, the son of the late George W. and Vonda Kocher Stine Sr.
He was a 1964 graduate of Magnolia High School, and a graduate of Fairmont St. He was retired from Bayer Corporation, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. David was a dear gentle man, to know him was to love him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Roy E. Kocher and George W. Stine Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Mary Margaret Klug Stine; a sister, Deborah Stine Livingston; two sisters-in-law, Faye Kocher and Sharol Stine, all of New Martinsville; several nieces and nephews; and his always loyal golden retriever, “Tanner.”
Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, where Rosary Devotions will be recited at 7 p.m.
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Symeon Galazka as celebrant.
