Dolores Margaret (Baron) Kinney-Williams, our loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and “Gong” entered into heaven peacefully on January 29, 2018 at the age of 86. She was a resident at Cameron Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born on November 28, 1931, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Griffith) Baron.

She was a 1949 graduate of Triadelphia High School.

She was an active Cameron community volunteer as she was a board member at the Cameron Community Health Center and Cameron Landmark Committee. She was a foster grand parent Cameron elementary School. She was a city council woman and for many years an active EMT member, officer for the Cameron E-Squad and taught CPR to many groups and individuals. She was a 4-H leader and a member of the Dry Ridge Homemakers Club. She attended both Upper Wolf Run Presbyterian Church and Wolf Run Baptist Church.

She worked for many years caring for residents at the McConoughey Nursing Home, Anderson Nursing Home and began working among the first employees when Cameron Nursing and Rehab was established. Many of the people she worked along side of and taught CPR to were among the wonderful staff who provided her excellent care in her final years. She also worked at Cameron Drug Store.

Preceding her in death in addition to her parents are two brothers, Charles and Philip; former husbands, John Kinney and Earl Williams.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Norman (Joyce) Shively of Wheeling, WV, Charlotte (Tom) Wallace of Bannock, OH, David Kinney of Cameron, WV, Richard Kinney of Hampton, VA, Carol (Jim) Lotzgeselle of Mingo Junction, OH, Beth (Rex) Strawn of Valley Grove, WV and Melissa (Bill) Black of Holbrook, PA; her grandchildren: Jason, Jeremy, Chad, Brent, Jennifer, Austin, Nathaniel, Katie, Stephen, Morgan, Kristin, Jessica and Vanessa. great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Kallie, Zane and Harley; a sister, Amelia (Don) Porter of Canal Winchester, OH. Her cats, Jewel and Sunshine, will also miss her dearly.

Dolores will be rememberd by many for her loving nature, determined attitude and her courageous battle with effects of Alzheimers.

Please join the family on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, 39 Maple Avenue, Cameron, WV.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 2, in the funeral home followed by burial at Mt. View Cemetery, Dallas, WV, with Pastor Michael Dunn officiating.
