Melanie Anne Hochstrasser, 57, of Freeport, Ohio, formerly of Neffs and Bellaire, died Friday, January 12, 2018 at OSU Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio after a brave fight against cancer.
She was born September 27, 1960 in Neffs, a daughter of Mildred Ault Kotera and the late Joseph Kotera.
Melanie was a 1978 graduate of Bellaire High School, a dental assistant for Dr. Richard Pettit & Angela Petras, and a Methodist.
Surviving are her husband, Harold Hochstrasser; two children, Brittany (Robert) Castle of Moncks Corner, SC and Clayton (Erin Vlach) Hochstrasser of Worthington, OH; a brother, Joseph “Butch” (Tammy) Kotera of Neffs; sisters, Lucinda (Gary) Henthorne of Neffs, Sharon Kotera of Columbus, OH, and Lynne (Albert) Zanke of Jacobsburg; 2 grandchildren, Grayson Castle and Ori Hochastrasser.
Friends will be received at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m., where services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday with Pastor Larry Helms officiating.
Burial follows in Belmont County Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Clairsville.
