Norma J. Daugherty, age 89, of Moundsville, WV, formerly of Cameron, WV, died Monday, January 1, 2018 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale.
She was born April 23, 1928 in Cameron, the daughter of the late Elwood and Hilda McCarrihan Earliwine.
She was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, and attended Washington Lands United Methodist Church; a member and past president of Marshall County Extension Homemakers/CEO’s for over 60 years; and was a Marshall County Belle, and United Methodist Church Women.
Norma was a member of a family rich in love; and she loved to share her joy and love of life with her many friends, family, and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul L. Daugherty; and two brothers, Lemoyne “Hayes” and William Earliwine.
Survivors include her son, Ronald (Beth) Daugherty of Washington Lands; two grandchildren, Caroline (Steve Whipkey) Daugherty of Washington Lands, and Michael (Taylor) Daugherty of Winston-Salem, NC; two great-granddaughters, Mattie June Daugherty, and Ruby M. Whipkey; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Earliwine of Shadyside, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 p.m. until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville with Pastor Annette Carper officiating.
Private interment will be held in Halcyon Hills Memorial Park, Sherrard.
