WILLIAM WILHELM

William “Bill” D., Wilhelm, 82, of Woodsfield, Ohio, formerly of Elm Grove, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Barnesville Hospital, Barnesville, Ohio.

He was born July 25, 1935, in Wheeling, W.Va., son of the late John William “Bill” and Elizabeth Saunders Wilhelm.

Bill was a paratrooper and a tank gunner in the U.S. Army. He was a retired self-employed dairy farmer. He was a Catholic by faith, and attended St. Michael Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Helen Ann Kirksey and granddaughter, Anna Marie Wilhelm.

He is survived by a son, Mike W. (Julie) Wilhelm of Valley Grove, W.Va.; three daughters, Connie (Craig) Burke of Senecaville, Ohio, Kelly (Bill) Hartzell of Scio, Ohio, and Molly (Mike) Romano of Coshocton, Ohio; three sisters, Rosemary Villanova of Wheeling, W.Va., Betty Bucon of Wheeling, W.Va., and Lucille Otte of Wheeling, W.Va.; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Jason, Scott, Lesa, Lindsay, Mason, River, and Ruger; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services and interment will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
