Bernard Nelson McCulley, 80, of West Finley passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, in Transitions Healthcare of Washington with his family by his side.
He was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson McCulley
Bernard was a graduate of West Alexander School, and he was a long-time farmer. He was also employed by the Observer Reporter and retired from West Finley Township as a supervisor.
Bernard enjoyed farming, gardening and making things with his hands.
On Aug. 25, 1961, he married Helen Mounts, who preceded him in death.
Left behind to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Christine M. Laberdee, Debbie Selmon (Mark), and Cindy L. McCulley all of West Finley, PA; a sister, Doris Errett of Hickory, PA; two sisters-in-law, Kathryn McCulley and Leona Sibert; one brother-in-law, Robert Kelso; five grandchildren, Tiffany Selmon, Bernard J. McCulley, Brittany Selmon, Courtney Selmon, and Brandon Laberdee; and one great-grandson, Jace Swisher;
Deceased in addition to his wife and parents is a sister, Betty Kelso; a brother, Harold McCulley; and a great-grandson, Landon James Selmon-Swisher.
