Henry Anthony Wilson, Jr., 89, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Lancia Villa Royale in Wintersville, OH.

Born on January 24, 1929 in Wellsburg, WV a son of the late Henry A. and Nellie (Flaherty) Wilson, Sr. In addition to his parents Henry is preceded in death by one brother; Jack Wilson and three sisters; Ursula Durbin, Jo-Ann East, and Mary Leslie.

Henry graduated from Wellsburg High School and went on to serve his country in the Army during the Korean War. After his service, he worked and retired as Sole Proprietor of Wilson’s Newsstand and was also Brooke County Commissioner for over 25 years. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.

Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Dolores “Dolly” (Veltri) Wilson at home, five children, Edward “Eddie” (Cindy) Wilson of Wellsburg, WV, Barbara Ann Turney of VA, James (Keli) Wilson of Follansbee, WV, John Wilson of Berryville, VA, and Dr. Mark (Michelle) Wilson of West Point, Ms; one sister, Rita Watson of Charleston, WV; 12 grandchildren and two great grandsons, Samuel Warren and Miles Flynn; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, 669 Main St., Follansbee, WV 26037. A vigil service will be held on Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 10 at 9 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 1300 Charles St. Wellsburg, W with the Rev. Fr. Dan Pisano as celebrant.

Interment will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Washington, PA.

Full military honors will be conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
