Frank A. Haynes, 74, of Wheeling, died Tuesday, August 14, 2017 at home.
He was born September 16, 1943 in Wileyville, WV, the son of the late Clowney and Maude Shuman Haynes.
Frank was a retired steel worker from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, a former member of Elm Grove Civics Baseball. Frank had the passion for baseball, golf and traveling.
He was a member of Belmont Hills Country Club and a Baptist by Faith. Frank enjoyed telling stories of his life, family, and loved listening to the stories in music. He learned the lessons as a child of the Bible and spoke of the passages often.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Shuman Haynes.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Barbara Burnett Haynes; one son, Heath (Eileen) Haynes of Lake Havasu City, AZ; one daughter, Jill (Fred) Gump of O’Fallon, MO and two grandchildren, Heather Gump and Ian Gump, both of O’Fallon, MO.
Family will receive friends, Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/ Wheeling.
Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
