Linda Yvonne Wise Stapp, age 74, passed away at home on September 23, 2018 surrounded by her loved ones. Linda was born September 26, 1944 in Wheeling, WV to Arthur Woodrow and Dolly Herbert Wise.

Linda graduated from St. Clairsville High School class of 1962. She completed her degree in Elementary Education at Ohio University and later became a Registered Nurse, earning her degree from West Virginia Northern Community College. She worked at OVMC- Cardiac Care Unit and went on to become a Hospice nurse and later the Director of Hospice in Barnesville. Linda was passionate about nursing and Hospice care, working with several area Hospice agencies. In her later career she was happy to pass on this passion to students at Belmont College where she worked as an adjunct faculty member.

Linda enjoyed gardening, fishing, cooking and Ohio State football. She was the mortar of her family and loved to help others. Linda mentored the young, guided the lost and nurtured the weak. She loved everyone that she knew.

Linda was preceded in death by her Father, Mother and her beloved brother, Arthur Duane Wise.

She is survived by her loving life partner of 45 years, Bonnie Rose Heil and their 3 children; Kimberly Stapp-Jones (Midway), Kathy (Aaron) Neilson (Holloway) and Chad Heil (Greenwich). 6 grandchildren; Justin Stapp, Dalton Rouse, Lindsay Baugh, Camden Baugh, Tori Sigler and Race Heil. 9 great grandchildren; Jessica, Justine, Jobe, Saint, Ayla, Bentley, Mackenlee, Barrett and Peyton. And of course her precious fur baby, Lacey.

Visitation for Linda will be on Thursday, September 27 from 2-4 and from 5-8 with a service at 8pm at Toothman Funeral Home in St. Clairsville. Interment will be at a later date with her immediate family.
