Myrtle J. Galloway, 88 of Wheeling, WV., passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Akron, Ohio.
She was born June 14, 1931, in Houston, Pennsylvania, daughter to Joseph and Edna Mae Brown.
Myrtle worked at Akron General hospital for 13 years and 8 years with Ohio County school district. Myrtle was also a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband, Perry R. Galloway Sr.; her step-parents, Clyde Brown and Verlon Brown; her sons Darrell Washington and Perry R. Galloway Jr.; her sister, Goldie Brown; her brother, Joseph Brown, Jr.; and a grandson, D’ominique Galloway.
Myrtle was survived by 8 children: Sharon Washington of Akron, OH, Millicent Washington of Washington, PA, Tracy Galloway of Virginia, Rodney Washington of Milwaukee, WI, Stanley (Thelma) Washington of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Galloway of Wheeling, WV, Ronald Galloway of San Diego, CA, Keith (Chris) Mason of TN; her sister, Iva June Batie of Washington, PA; her brother, Bobby Brown of Wheeling, WV; 22 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, from 11 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m., at Macedonia Baptist Church, 105 12th Street, Wheeling, WV 26003. The Rev.
