Walter “Dennie” Bartolovich, 70, of Wheeling, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018 at Liza’s Place, Wheeling, WV.
He was born March 26, 1948 in Wheeling, WV, son of the late Walter Joseph and Dorothy Pavel Bartolovich.
Dennie was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel with over 37 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran, a member of St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, Elm Grove where he served on church council and was a former head Deacon, he was a part-time custodian for Ohio County Schools, enjoyed traveling, where he visited all 55 WV Counties and was a NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother: Walter Gene Bartolovich and his father-in-law: Joe Benline.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Debbie Bartolovich; one daughter: Kari (James) Somerville of Falling Waters, WV and one grandson: Luke Somerville of Falling Waters.
Family will receive friends on Thursday from 3-7 p.m. at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 1 Ridgecrest Road, Bethlehem/Wheeling where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Paul Schafer officiating.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Wheeling, where the Moundsville Honor Guard will conduct military graveside services.
