Karen Ebbert-Hoppin, 49, of Belmont, Ohio, died on Saturday October 13, 2018 at her home.

She fought a courageous and valiant battle with breast cancer for 11 and a half years. Karen always kept a positive attitude and never ever complained.

She was born February 26, 1969 a daughter of Benjamin and Marcie (Orban) Ebbert in Wheeling, WV.

Karen worked as a bank teller for Wesbanco and was a Catholic by faith. Karen was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in St. Clairsville, Ohio.

She is survived by her parents and her children, Kaylee and Ketler Hoppin of Belmont, Ohio. In addition she is survived by her siblings, Michael Ebbert of Belmont, OH, Mary Beth (Kenneth) Janiszewski of Florence, KY, Marcie Ann (Dennis) Quagliani of Bermuda Dunes, CA, and Jill (Jay) Heroux of Warrentown, VA, as well as her boyfriend Bobby Johnen of Flushing, OH, seven nephews and five nieces. Family and friends will be received at the Beck Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 204 W. Main St. St. Clairsville, OH 43950 on Wednesday October 17, 2018 from 2-8 p.m. A vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. Funeral liturgy with Mass will be held on Thursday October 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in St. Clarisville, Ohio with Fr. Thomas Chillog officiating.

Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Lafferty, Ohio.
