Mark Joseph Bell, 56, of Wheeling, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019, at East Ohio Regional Hospital, Martins Ferry, OH.
He was born March 25, 1962, in Wheeling, son of the late Charles and Rose Marie Uhrin Bell.
Mark was a graduate of Franciscan University. He was a customer service representative for the Schrader Nature Center at Oglebay and a former award-winning reporter and city editor at The Wheeling Intelligencer, where he mentored many colleagues and made lifelong friends.
Mark was an avid fantasy football player, Pirates fan and king of useless trivia. Mark’s humor and wit were unmatched.
Survivors include his daughter, Alaina Rose, the light of his world; her mom, Holly; nephew, Michael Hall; and numerous friends.
Mark was a gentle giant with a big heart and friend to all.
