ROBERT FISHER

He was born February 6, 1944 in Little Rock, AR. He is the son of the late Robert A. Fisher, Jr. and Mary Margaret Buza Fisher.

Robert was a Catholic by faith, and was a 1962 graduate of Wheeling Central Catholic High School. He attended West Liberty State College and then enlisted in the Air Force and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He returned from the service and was an air traffic controller at Dulles International Airport and worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Washington, D.C.

Robert became a member of the Community Baptist Church, Wheeling, where he served as treasurer for many years.

Robert is survived by his sister, Mary Rose Fisher of Wheeling; and his nephew, John “Jack” Klein of Arlington, TX; several cousins and close friends, along with his beloved German Shepherd, Midnight.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff St., Wheeling, where services will be held on Wednesday, April 24, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Pete Carney officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
