Harrie Lee Perko, 75, of Bridgeport died Monday, May 13, 2019 at Allegheny Veterans Hospital Pittsburgh.
He was born December 16, 1944 in Wheeling, a son of the late Frank and Creola M. (Covington) Perko.
Catholic by faith, and a veteran in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Phillip Michael Kinkus II; brothers, Kenny and Richard Perko; and sister, Arleen Matusik.
Harrie is survived by his children, Renee (Thomas) James of Chicago, grandchildren Lee, Shannon and Katelyn James of Chicago; Melissa Perko, grandson Joshua Perko of Wheeling; Marcie (Charles) Sell of Cadiz; four stepchildren, James, Vincent, Christopher (Michelle) Atwood, and Andrea Atwood Baker; his siblings, Frank (Mary Ann) Perko of Wheeling, Raymond A. Perko of Lansing, Kathleen (Fred) DePasquale of St. Clairsville, and Timothy (Sharon) Perko of Columbus; five grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Wilson Funeral Home, 920 National Road, Brookside, on Saturday May 18, 2019 from 2 p.m. till time of service at 4 p.m., with Rev. David Demarest officiating. Full military services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Saturday by the Belmont County Veteran’s Association.
