Thomas W. Lewis Jr.

Thomas W. Lewis Jr., 63, formerly of Wheeling, WV, died Monday at Greenville Memorial Hospital in South Carolina.

He was born on an Air Force Base in Bellefontaine, Ohio, on May 26, 1955. He was the son of the late retired Lt. Col. (USAF) Thomas W. Lewis and Margaret Kaiser Lewis of Wheeling, W.Va.

His parents and his brother, Scott B. Lewis, all preceded him in death.

He was a Methodist by faith. He received his bachelor of arts in graphic arts at West Liberty State College. He moved to Fort Lauderdale in the early 1980s. He met his loving significant other, Gloria Ciuzio, in Fort Lauderdale. During this time he worked for different printing companies. He moved to Horse Shoe, NC, in 2006 where Gloria also predeceased him. His hobbies included photography, playing the piano and guitar and sketching as well as helping many people in the Asheville community. He recently played in a band for charity in Hendersonville, NC.

He is survived by a sister, Susan Lewis Russo; brother in law Frank Russo; and nephew Anthony Scott Russo, all of Deerfield Beach, Fla. Surviving him are many loving cousins and his childhood friend Rob Sincavich, all of Eastern Ohio. Surviving him also are Gloria’s stepdaughter, Joanne Yaeger, and Gloria’s best friend, Theresa Wehunt, both of Port Charlotte, Fla.

Chapel service post cremation will be held Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m. at Jackson Funeral Service and Crematorium, 1101 Greenville Highway, P.O. Box 945, Hendersonville, NC, 28793. A celebration of life event is set to take place afterward.
