Clean Rotten Apples Out of Missile Program
Thirty-four nuclear missile launch officers have been implicated in a scheme to cheat on tests meant to ensure they know how to operate their ultra-deadly weapons, the Air Force revealed this week. That comes on top of another missile program scandal involving drugs.
Clearly, the Air Force needs to embark upon a crisis reaction program of cleaning up the missile program – and reassuring the public only qualified, dedicated people work in it.
This is not just another government scandal. In certain circumstances, it could be a matter of life or death, and it needs to be treated as such.
