Tax Burden Heavy For Middle Class

Finished your income tax return yet? Today’s the deadline for most filers, so if your return isn’t completed, you’d better get at it.

Here’s something to consider: Almost without exception, presidents and members of Congress claim they want to help the middle class. Income tax brackets, showing what percentage of income is taken for taxes, tell a different story.

In light of that, how believable are claims federal officials want to help the middle class?
