Trust Was Breached

Ohio’s State Medical Board was right to suspend St. Clairsville Dr. Rodney Curtis’ license to practice medicine. Officials really had no choice.

Curtis is spending the next year in jail and prison, after being convicted of illegal trafficking in and possession of drugs. He conducted drug transactions involving Adderall and Suboxone with a police informant.

A substantial amount of the current opioid abuse crisis in our states resulted from irresponsible actions by health care professionals — whom the public has a right to be able to trust.

Curtis no longer can enjoy that trust. Because of that, he should not be permitted to practice medicine.
