Traffic control, arena staffing, parking subpar
We recently attended the Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert at the Civic Center. It took us approximately 35 minutes to get from the Fort Henry Bridge off-ramp to the Civic Center. There were no police directing traffic and it was a horrible mess.
We parked in the adjacent parking garage and by the time we got inside, the show had already started. There were no ushers to direct us to our seats and the arena was completely dark. After stumbling around for a while we finally found our seats.
Upon leaving the concert, we discovered there were no lights on at all from the fifth floor on up in the parking garage.
The show itself was great, but getting to and from was an unnecessary adventure. I would hope this is not standard operating procedure.
