Please explain lack of turn arrow on Junior Avenue
I am confused about the traffic light at the Junior Avenue bridge.
Coming on to National Road from the direction of McDonald’s, the traffic light has no green arrow to allow the traffic to turn left to Junior Avenue.
I was at the light on Tuesday, going to the walking trail. I sat through that light two times because I had to yield to on-coming traffic. But on the return trip, there is a left turn arrow, yet no oncoming traffic to yield to – unless it would be from the parking lot of Wakim’s Bar.
I was wondering why. Can somebody explain this to me? Is it because it is U.S. Route 40, and that makes it a state issue? Am I the only person bothered by this?
