Grateful for Help After Collapse

Editor, News-Register:

On August 16, 2011, we had a terrible accident at Carenbauer Distributing Corp. The building next to our building was being demolished and during the demolition, a large piece of the building fell and came through our roof. Fortunately, nobody was injured!

Within the hour, many people were at our business helping us sort out the mess and what needed to be done to get back to normal. I would like to publicly thank the following people and businesses that showed up and worked extremely hard to get us up and running within a day or two:

McKinley and Associates, Kalkreuth Roofing and Sheet Metal, Yahn Electric, Savage Construction, Wheeling Fire Department, Mountaineer Gas, and Quality Erecting, Inc.

I would also like to thank our customers for working with us through this accident and all of our great employees!

Living and working in Wheeling certainly has its advantages and it’s nice to know you can count on your fellow businesses to come to your aid in time of need. Thanks again!

Carl Carenbauer, president
