Wheeling Zoning Change Criticized
Regarding the July article, “City Ensuring the Future While Preserving the Past,” I felt absolutely warm all over after reading the first paragraph which included, regarding Wheeling neighborhoods, “…while preserving the integrity of those that have remained largely intact.”
Were any Planning Commission members in town when zoning was changed such that Bedway Enterprises was allowed to build a 32-unit apartment building on Washington Avenue? Oh, I forgot! Washington Avenue is a rundown, decrepit, despicable eyesore of a residential area and has absolutely nothing of any value to retain or keep intact! I guess that was the Planning Commission’s opinion.
How many more two-faced city officials is Wheeling going to get?
