Foundation Helps Local Cancer Patients

Editor, News-Register:

My name is Glenda Lee and I live in Martins Ferry. I’m among people who are afflicted with cancer. I’m on a fixed income and can’t afford the proper foods I need to survive because of high prices.

I mentioned this problem to my doctors and they got in touch with Wheeling Health Right. Through them there is an organization called the Lee Ann Foundation. I never heard of it and I’m sure many others haven’t heard of it. Brian Schambach organized it in memory of his wife, Lee Ann. This wonderful and caring foundation helps people who have cancer to purchase food by helping them out financially. They gave me a $200 gift certificate from Krogers to help me.

Could you please put an article in your paper about these wonderful people to let people know about them and how they help people in need. I can’t thank them enough. The organization needs to be recognized for their work. May God bless them for their good deeds and others like them. Thank you for taking the time to read this and may God bless you and yours as well.
