It's a new year, and a new political era starts soon.
We don't know if it will be good or bad. We just know that it will be a different one. Here's to hoping some local, national and world problems can be resolved in the coming months.
Lets wish that everyone who wants and needs a job might get one, and that the sick and frail can receive the treatments they need to resume their lives.
Lets hope that "roads to nowhere" somehow get offramps to economic prosperity. Efforts can start with a little paving, and adding more light to shine on the road.
Yes, it all takes money.Doesn't it always?
May our elected leaders have the insight to know that some government spending must always occur; the courage to also make needed cuts to ease the financial burden on tax payers; and the wisdom to know when to spend, and when to cut.
As for our personal resolutions, may our credo be, "A little sugar goes a long way." At least that's what our doctors tell us.
It's going to be a lean year, and we'll have to cut back. But that's o.k. Too much fat in the diet isn't good for us, anyway.
