Do you make New Year's resolutions? I know many people who do for a variety of reasons and one week later, those resolutions are out the window. What is it about a certain date -- Jan. 1 -- that makes us think we are going to: a. stop cursing at other drivers; b. lose weight; c. exercise muscles that we haven't seen or felt in 10 years; d. increase our savings; e. be nicer to those who make us nuts on a daily basis; f. forgive the people who have hurt us, again; g. organize the family photos; h. throw out the clutter in those end table drawers; i: plant tulips (way too late already); j: paint the ---fill in the blank -- room; k. finish the novel sitting on the bedside table; l: visit friend in the nursing home more often; m: call the long lost friends you have been meaning to meet for lunch or dinner; n: get a physical; o: vow to attend more than one outdoor concert this summer; p: write a will; q: donate the unused clothes, dishes, etc., to Goodwill; r: listen better to those who just want to talk; s: open a Christmas club; t: buy Forever stamps before the post office no longer exists; u: refuse to open chain emails; v: throw out the old rolls of film or actually get them developed; w: write down your favorite recipes for your kids and grandkids; x: write a letter, not an email to someone you care about; y: walk every day; z: pay attention when your spouse is talking. Do you have any resolutions? Share, please.
