So, how about that Super Bowl!
I enjoyed it from beginning to end ... especially the last exciting two minutes! It definitely got high marks.
I loved Jordin Sparks' rendition of the National Anthem ... add to it that her hometown is Glen Dale, Ariz., and that her dad played professional football with the New York Giants! — and she was the perfect choice for that honor. I give her a 5 out of 5!
Usually I just watch it for the commercials and munching on assorted football food — wings, pizza, fried pierogies — but I really did enjoy the actual game this year. My suggestion for the perfect game food this year? Manhattan Clam Chowder and New England Clam Chowder!
But, about those commercials: Here are my ratings for the commercials that I saw: (on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the best):
Bud Lite Cheese Run ... 5 Pepsi Max ... 3 "House" commercials ... 4 Chipmonk scream/tires ... 3 Budweiser "Hank" ... 4 Follow Your Heart, Careerbuilder ... 5 Lizards dancing for Life Water .... 5 Drug dealer, safeguard our kids ... 4 Bud Lite accents ... 3.5 Planters .... 1 T-Mobile "Hey Chuck" .... 2 Talking Baby, e*trade ... 5 Gaterade, dog lapping ... 4 Amp Yourself ... -2 Ben for "American Idol" ... 3 Toyota Corolla ... 4

My favorite, of course, was the Belmont Technical College commercial right before half time, during the local commercial segment. (Why? Because that's my son, of course!) So, I give that one a 10!
Half-time: I like Tom Petty. I'd give it a 5 for song selection; a 3.5 for his voice; and a BIG ZERO for the beard!
Excitement level: a 5! Especially at the end and that fight for the ball with about 15 seconds to go.
Outcome? a 5! Go, Giants!
