Bobcats

The fact that several bobcats have been found in Belmont County doesn't surprise me at all. About three weeks ago I noticed a large, dead cat alongside the road on I-470. Thinking about it now, there's no doubt it was a bobcat. We used to hear bobcats when we first moved into Ohio County and a friend reported catching the image of a bobcat treeing a raccoon on his outdoor camera strapped to a tree in a remote Ohio County area within the past few weeks. Nature has adapted to humans, apparently, by their close interaction and ability to live in our backyards. My yard has plenty of deer, occasional wild turkeys, raccoons, and the elusive opossum.
