Could you just answer

October 10, 2009 - Heather Ziegler
I will preface this blog by saying that I have not attended a Wheeling City Council meeting under this current administration but I did cover city council for 11 years not so many years ago. When I read reports of how council meetings are conducted now I just wonder what's going on. . In the past, when a person from the public came before council to air a complaint or ask a question, someone, usually Councilman John Carenbauer or Clyde Thomas or the city manager would give that person some sort of answer even if it was just to say they would look into it. They did not ignore the person or fail to answer them but that seems to be what happens now. If someone has something to say, it's common courtesy to at least look at them when they are speaking to you. I understand that is not always the case either. Have you tried to address council and got nowhere? Let me know.
