What a dad

I had an e-mail from a friend who is the father of a young son. He described his Christmas to me and said how much he loves being a dad. One of the phrases he used describing fatherhood was "It melts me." Isn't that wonderful to hear from a father who, along with the mom, is probably overtired and struggling to make ends meet, but still see the love and benefits of the gift of a child? Sometimes I struggle with finding good in every person I meet. There is evil in the world and that is evidenced by the headlines on many days. Yet, when I hear a young father exude that much love for his child, I forget about the evil people and focus on the good guys. I'd love to hear about more uplifting thoughts this year than negative and I vow to find them and pass them on.
