HOMETOWN
Every hometown has them — those people who make a difference, whose efforts go above and beyond the normal call of duty. They are the baseball coaches who give their time after work, and the hospital volunteers who put in thousands of hours just to help those in need. They organize community events that thousands of people enjoy each summer, and they care for the homeless and those in need of life’s basic necessities. They also are the nationally known doctors who treat cancer patients. The keepers of the Upper Ohio Valley’s rich history. Those who advocate and treat area youth in need. And many, many others. This Hometown publication recognizes just a few of those area residents whose unselfish acts make life a little better for all of us. Because without them, the Upper Ohio Valley would not be the same.
