Women Lead With Passion
Kris Molnar
WHEELING — Kris Molnar, Stephanie Grove and Barbara Ferrell share similarities when it comes to their careers, but the main thing they have in common is a passion and positive outlook for their work. A cancer survivor, mother and an expert in the world of finance, Molnar has held several prestigious positions with WesBanco in Wheeling — one of which included a three-year stint as president and chief executive officer, and another as the first female officer at the bank. Today, she is a part-time consultant for the bank, while focusing on opening her own business in relation to financial education. Grove is a devoted mother of two children, an active member of the community and works part-time as the business development officer for First Choice America Credit Union — a position she said she loves. During the 1970s, Ferrell had the distinction of serving as the first woman bank manager in Wheeling. She was named manager of the “Auto Bank” of the First National Bank. Today looking back on her career she said she has been truly blessed. Kris Molnar: A Wheeling native, Molnar married at the age of 20 and moved to Nashville, Tenn. She graduated from Peabody College, now part of Vanderbilt University, with a bachelor’s degree in science. Her first job out of college was a secretary position for the bank holding company in Nashville.
