Business conference targets veterans
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) _ West Virginia veterans looking for business opportunities will get some help next month.
The second annual Veterans Business Conference will be held Sept. 3 and Sept. 4 at the Civic Center in Charleston.
The meeting is designed to offer veterans new business opportunities. It will include Contract Connections, which will put businesses in contact with state and federal purchasing agents from the Army Corps of Engineers, the Defense Supply Center, the state Department of Transportation and other agencies.
Sponsors are the Regional Contracting Assistance Center and the West Virginia Small Business Development Center, in cooperation with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
